EAST PORTLEMOUTH & SLAPTON SANDS - 24-07-06
By Sheff82
Went to the beach at East Portlemouth today from low tide up. Had 2 school bass and a 1lb pollack on lugworm, a cracking wrasse of just over 2lb on rag and my first ever plaice, not big but brilliant to finally catch one! All in all a great day!

Fished by the church, spinning with my favorite lure. Had one nice bass within an hour nice fish 5mm undersize but very healthy put him back to fight another day. Went down to the point car park later to see what was happening, but not a lot, a couple of schoolies,mackies/garfish. Going down again tonight as the tides are a little later and higher.
PRINCESS PIER - 24-07-06

Decided to fish the pier late this afternoon, arrived about 5.30pm and started with a dexter wedge. After about 20 min's i caught a Twaite shad(a 1st for me) which was shortly follow by a garfish, no mackerel on the wedge but plenty of other people catching them with floats or feathers.
Was mad down there, loads of people around so i change to a float with some live prawn and had quite a few small pollack which all went back. Only there for 2 hours but was good sport, line got wet and my rod bent a few times and best of all was a nice sunny evening.

Threw on the Dexter and tried his hand at a bit of spinning for mackerel/bass as there was still a hour or so of light left and i put on the feathers as we wanted to try and get some fresh bait for the evening due to the mackerel i had taken had been in and out the freezer 3 times now and wasn't fairing up to well but was something to fall back on if we hadn't any luck in the mackeral department.
We spun and feathered for about a hour which produced 5 reasonable sized mack's on the feathers and then decided to go on bottom with 2 rods each one with a pulley rig and the other with 2 hook flappers all baited up with mack and squid. About 15 minutes in cliff had a knock and reeled in the first doggie of the evening and from there on in it went quite for him but for the rest of the evening my 2 rods were kept on the go with 6 dogfish,2 bullhuss and a double whammy of a spider crab and a smoothound of about two and a half to three pounds.

Tried every damn thing white eels, red eels, black eels, dexter's, c bars, Bass bullets, plugs not a touch. Saw a chap catch 3 Bass over the way at Shaldon all on trotted live eel all little ones though, and a fellow to the left caught a v small Bass on a dexter on the inside.
Chatted to a guy who waded from in from the distance, he said he had a small bass earlier, then caught a quite big Gar as we were packing up.Also chatted to a local lady, who said there were loads caught the other Friday when it was more windy and choppy and claimed 60 Bass caught from the seaward side and 20 landed at the inside.

Fished the pier thursday eve from 7pm until 10.30 using float and macky strip caught 4 big macky's and 2 bass (1 Keeper) was between 7 and 15 foot deep caught the first bass from the seafront on live eel if you stand looking down the pier with the theatre behind you walk 45 paces to your right and you will see a big patch of red seaweed covering the rocks there there were loads of big bass and mullet swimming in circles under this weed would have fished there all night but 2 tw*ts on jet ski's started doing doughnuts just where the fish were and scared them all away.
EAST PORTLEMOUTH & SLAPTON SANDS - 20-07-06
By Tempest
Fished on Thursday. 13:00 - 03:30 (high tide to low and then back up again)
1pm-16:30 East Portlemouth (follow coast path and fish first set of rocks)
Plenty of action ledgering on the dropping tide. 2 Wrasse (biggest about 2lb) 2 Pollack (biggest about 2lb) - plenty of bites all day. Missed biggest bite I've ever had, well didn't miss it, I hit the fish and it felt big, then the line pulled into the rocks and gave way - gutted. Was fishing whole Sand eel (big 'un) for that bite, but the other fish all came on ragworm.
18:30 - 03:30 Slapton Sand (Strete Gate end). Mackeral (12) between two on Sandeel and on Mackeral; small ones went back. Fishing only 20 ft out at low tide (Rising) at 4ft deep. Fishing kept biting up to about 11pm (we clipped starlight's to the floats), but they were buggers to hit (mainly due to the wind pulling loads of slack making the strike hard), No action on ledgered Sandeel and RagWorm fished at various distances (30-110yd). Then at about 2am small bite, on whole Sandeel wrapped in squid, resulted in the biggest doggie I've ever seen. Was easily over 2lb possibly 3lb, over 2ft long, it was huge. Disappointing fight (1/2 lb mackeral is heck of a better fight!!).

Took the spinning gear for a swim this afternoon, 14:00 to 16:30 (2 o'clock to half past four in English!) Caught 6 VERY small mackeral, which went back, and one about a pound and a half (that's breakfast sorted, then) Not too crowded, but nothing being caught, at least while I was there, on float or feathers or whatever. Very hot.

Fished shaldon with starcrossbass, had one small schoolie and that was it. Very poor. Moved over to the church teignmouth later (9ish) first catch a weaver (nasty little sods), next came a couple of bass just on the min (returned) and finally to round off a mackies. All on the same 30g silver stretched wedge.
A bit later a mate turned up with some live eels, tried these until 11.00 not a touch , except for crabs. In all not a bad evening considering what its been like the last month or so. Is this the start of a recovery or just a blip?
BRIXHAM BREAKWATER - 17-07-06
By Tempest
Fished today up to high tide. Caught nothing on Mackeral fillet, but chaps either side were pulling them in (only one of a decent size) on Sandeel fished deep (16 ft ish). Fishing at the end on the outside. Word of warning. Loads of seaweed prevented fishing the harbour side - and there was a fair amount sea side causing issues too. It seems they're after Sandies!!!
BTW. When did Longbow move off? I've been up country for ages and only just getting back into fishing. Had a huge Garfish on Slapton sands last night whilst hunting Bass.

We fished it again last evening only a few small schoolies again + 1 mackie. I think simon's got all the big ones in plymouth Gonna try it again tonight. Stopped off at Dawlish main break wall on the way home to see if anything was showing but only one mackie was caught.

Fished pier on sat, 5pm till high tide at ten. Weed a problem on outside and end of pier. Fished inside edge and had a couple of Mackerel. Bait was live small sandeel which seemed to be the only bait they wanted to know at around 8 foot depth. Also tried float ledgering for mullet with harbour rag and bread, no joy, pestered by finger sized pouting ! Saw four garfish caught but no size, water was very cloudy, this isn't no good for these "blue water" loving fish. Hopefully the coming storms will sort out some clearer waters for us.
PRINCESS PIER - 15-07-06
By Simon Baker
Went down the pier Saturday from 1pm to 9pm, tried fishing low water but combination of wind and large numbers of people with limited casting abilities made it stressful so decided to chill and sunbathe until 6pm. At 6 pm cast out and started to hit mackerel straight away, good mackie session by the end of it, 20+ in all, on float with mackerel strip...kept 10..gave 2 to Chinese ladies who have herbal remedy shop in Torquay(they were pleased as punch) and used a couple for bait as i went along and threw 6 or 8 back. Did manage to catch some brit and sandeel for live bait...but no bass, and mackies were in a cannibalistic mood preferring mackerel strip to other baits. I did manage to catch a fish( about 7-8 oz and 7inch) on live brit/sprat which a few people on the pier were saying was an allis and twaite shad. I thought it was more like a herring so did some research on google image search and the closest thing i could find to match were sardines and pilchards

Fishes estuary mouth either side of low, quite a few fishing but on sat three of us had 4 bass each (only one keeper) the others just short of 36 cm. On sunday it was slow only a couple each and much smaller in size. There were a few real nutters out in boats over the weekend, one yacht got stuck on the sandbar and had to wait hours for the flood tide. Three lads in a small boat decided to fish illegally and anchored up right in the middle of the narrowest part of the channel (plonkers) they didn't appear to catch anything, then got their anchor stuck and went round in circles trying to break free. Jet ski's were a pain on both days they think the 6 not speed limit doesn't apply to them, but at least the harbour master was out chasing them

Arrived just after 10 to find crashing waves a gusting wind and enough weed to keep Howard marks happy forever. decided to try and float with rag squid and macky but to no avail.
tried a dexter wedge but nothing all in all a total of three bites and no fish landed. on the plus side redgate beach seems to have turned into a nudist beach so there was a least a good view for a while. Oh and a dog wee-wee'd on Johns jacket.(that was funny) overall a good day out but no fish.

Fished the point car park in the evening. Some largish waves crashing against the wall with a strong current running and loads of weed. "blanked" oh well you win some/loose some. However there were a few small schoolies caught these were on lugworm a bait which is not used often but proved a winner that night. Most of the time its sandeel or crab, but not a sniff.
LEAVERMEAD CLIFF - 14/07/06
By Sheff82
Enquiry: Sunday 14th fishing off rocks at Livermead, West side. Two hours 2-4pm. Blanked on mackerel strip under float, one other angler there, caught seven Wrasse, heaviest 3lb'er on ragworm under float, from the gulleys. Thursday 20th missed a trip, but companion went and caught two silver eels on local lug worm off the steps Torquay beach, both good size and taken home.
SHALDON - NESS BEACH - 16/07/06
By Andrew Borman
Went down to the Ness yesterday to fish from high tide down. Conditions looked good with the swell dying away and the sea quite colored. Despite this and some excellent lug and rag baits i didn't even get a touch. Saw one fish jump, possible mackerel but it was another blank for me. Where have all the fish gone? Also i never realised how snaggy some areas of that beach can be, lost a couple of sets of gear. There's always next week!
BERRY HEAD & HOPES NOSE - 13/07/06
By Wolfie
13th July, 0800 to 2200, a friend from Germany and myself fished Berry head, second cast with feathers a string of mackies, great, WRONG, nothing else for the next 4 hours, either on bottom, float or feathers, sea flat calm, sun burning down, we looked like lobsters, then a small wrasse on the float, then NOTHING until 17:30 , he pulls in 2 mackies, every one else turns up for high tide, 1 man on end catches 4 mackies , the other 20 or so anglers, NOTHING.
14th July, 1630 to 2330, Hopes Nose, NOTHING on float, feathers or bottom, just on high tide a small wrasse on floated ragworm, then NOTHING. I have to say that over the past 30 or so years i have been fishing the area, it has gone down so far i am beginning to wonder if it is worth the 400 mile round trips anymore ( 1000 mile for my mate ), especially when on a thursday you see 2 of the smaller trawlers round the head, booms still down and nets out, and on passing the head into the bay, crew work like trojans to pull the nets up fast.

Starcross bass and i fished to the front of the nose last night. Spinning and float. Caught a few mackeies for bait, although these were few and far between. Sb had a couple of pollack and a wrasse. Nice relaxing evening even the climb back up did'nt seem to bad. The only other fish that we saw caught were doggies but these were fairly small.

Fished low tide this morning - 5 schoolies, usual tactics. They seem to be getting smaller though - the last keeper I had was 8 fish ago
Saw a lot of what I think were salmon once the tide started coming in - big fish, about 6-7lbs leaping out of the water. Maybe last night's rainfall was bringing them in.
Needless to say I cast them my lure but to no avail Fished Shaldon again this morning (Monday) - 3 bass inc. 1 keeper (but I put it back anyway). A few others fishing and all seemed to catch a few. Saw the salmon again. what a sight!

Fished Teignmouth for the first time ever at the mouth from 10:30 till about 12:15, caught 1 Bass double figures 1lb 1 oz (well it's 2 figures!!) returned of course. Seriously though was only a schoolie, used the White eel tactic I have picked up on this site - Thanks all. Saw 1 other caught from the other side.
Had a drive around with the wife to the other side, and carried on from about 1:00 - 2:00 - white eel, red eel, dexter all no good, but my last white eel did catch a 250kg fletcher speedboat!! Had a quick hello with a couple of guys I saw from the other side, said last week they caught 40, they were trotting live sandies, may be worth a try.
Back to Paignton for an ice cream as the wife had to meet an old school friend who was down for the day. Went to Brixham for a drive and ended up at Zeneca somehow so span for a bit with my Dexter, a red gill, white eel and some Hockeye's (still need a Macky for bait) all proved unsuccessful.
What a day though fantastic!! Cost me a fortune in Parking fees though

Went down to the point car park yesterday afternoon to fish the tide up for a few hours and back down again but also because i wanted to sit in the car and listen to the tennis and football on the radio. Wish i hadn't been so lazy as there was absolutely nothing about, not a touch on either of my baits. Loads of weed around until high tide when it disappeared. Plenty of others fishing as well, spinning and float fishing but no-one was having any luck. Still it was better than stopping in doing nothing!
BERRY HEAD - 08/07/06

5 of us went to berry head early sat morning caught about 10 mack between us spinning pretty disappointing. A holiday maker walked down and said they were catching a lot on thursday a few days earlier. but it can all change in a day might give it another go this thursday coming.

Fished the rocks to the left of the chair from 10.30 till 3.30 using live eels and a bubble float had two great takes but failed to land a fish if i was pushed to say what fish were taking the eels i would guess at bass but that could be wishful thinking. Nothing else but flat sea and sunshine.

Three of us fished the estuary last night couple of schoolies each, sadly nothing for supper. There must have been at least a couple of dozen fishing and as far as we could see only schoolies and the odd mackie being caught. Did hear of a nice 3.5lb caught on the teignmouth side the other night. Hope for better things when the bigger tides arrive next week

Decided to fish down Ansteys Cove in the rain today so set off about 10.30. Fished on the left of giants chair right on the corner on some black rocks, set up and first cast with a Rapala jointed plug i hooked a pollack. After an hour or so of trying few more different plugs i set up a float rig, chucked in and within 10 min's another pollack (mackerel strip), which was followed by a nice sized wrasse.Left about 14.00.Even though it was wet and miserable it was good to get out.
PRINCESS PIER - 04/07/06
By Rich
Fished from 6:30am until 2pm, high tide was 11ish
Sea was flat calm, gentle breeze, hazy sunshine, I fished just past the second set of steps, I used my usual float fished happy mix bait (Mackerel Strip tipped with squid) I only caught one Mackerel, but it was a goodun (1lb 1oz) very few fish caught all morning (I only saw around 6 others caught, including two Garfish).... I caught my mackerel on live bait obtained on site, other people were using all kinds (Squid, Mackerel, Rag, Sandeel) didn't seem to be any advantage to any given bait.
I also had a good run from something that was rather rude, not only did it get off the hook, it stole my bait too. I noticed the feather chucker's blanked, (as did I spinning) even though the fish could clearly be seen chasing the bait as it was reeled in. The mullet were around in good numbers today, the water was exceptionally clear, possibly the reason for so little action
Anyway, I baptized my new rod (Anyfish Anywhere Estuary) I am marrying it tomorrow, its fantastic, especially with my 5000 Abu Mag (only 1 very minor over-run with a float ) and I could feel every twitch of the fish even with mono line....
SHALDON & HOLCOMBE - 03/07/06
By Bassbandit
Fished shaldon for a couple of hours last night. Bass on the first cast and then a couple later on. As usual at the moment mainly undersize schoolies but there was a couple decent size, but it looks like people are taking undersize fish. The local pirates were there again and seem to be catching a few fish but as they were a couple of hundred yards upstream difficult to guess size but they weren't very big.
Later on moved off to Holcombe, not been here for sometime, but looking at it last night, ideal for bass, at dusk/dawn, the water was very clear. Another guy was plugging but no luck and did not stay to long. Odd thing was that no sea birds around, probably why no fish???
NESS BEACH - 02/07/06
By Ratlover
Decided to take the family to the Ness beach on Sunday morning as it turned out nice after the Thunder storms earlier, Rods were in the car so rude not to i thought. Emerged from the tunnel to find a couple of blokes fishing right in front of the steps, bottom rod, float & feathers so headed up the beach for about 100 yd's on right hand side. Only took spinning rod and some Dexter's caught 4 decent sized Mackerel about the 1lb mark. Quite a few other people turned up to fish but fishing only lasted for about an hour before every man & his dog arrived to enjoy the weather. Nice hours fishing though
DAWLISH - 02/07/06
By Sheff82
Went down to dawlish this morning to fish the beach in front of the station in my continued quest to catch a beach flattie this summer. Like last week conditions didn't look ideal with bright sunshine and a flat sea, but i was fairly confident after catching in similar conditions the week before. However it was not to be today with nothing, not even a bite. Did manage to see a good mackerel shoal taking baitfish off the surface, always a great sight, but nothing for on my baits. A few others were fishing but not catching either on feathers and lures. Spoke to one bloke who kindly watched my stuff while i got something out of the car. He'd had a small bass on feathers earlier in the day but that was it. Too hot and too calm i think.

Turned up around 8.30pm and headed for the middle of the left hand side and went straight on the feathers for mackerel to stock up on some fresh bait for the evening. I'm not a great lover of feathering but i didn't take my spinning rod and lures with me as there's only so much you can carry back up cardiac hill. Things were going slow for us at first and we thought that maybe we had missed the mackerel as it wasn't far off the end of daylight and was just about to give up and set up for bottom fishing when my rod bent right over when retrieving, upon the fish breaking surface i was delighted to see a cracking size mackerel of 2lb which put a big smile on my face as i had never had one of this size before.
From there on in we decided to move around to the front left side of the nose as most the others had gone by now as it was getting too dark to be feathering and the rest of the evening produced 3 more mackerel, 6 dogfish,a small whiting and a fair size spider crab all caught on mackerel, squid and ragworm.we decided to pack up around 2.30am as the bites had dropped off but went home content in what we had caught for the evening..
GOODRINGTON PROM - 01/07/06
By Putty
Fancied popping out from 8 pm - 11pm on a spur of the mo fishing trip, for a bit of Mackie bashing. Can't go to far as wife has a leg plaster and she can't carry too much.
Fished about 1/2 way up used a dexter & C-bar, to no avail. A couple of guys next to me started catching about 10 both on float and were doing well.
Switched to Hockeye's to catch one for bait to switch to float (honest) but this too proved fruitless. Also tried a Jelly, and stuck a starlight above the lure - never tried it before but thought I'd give it a go, this too was fruitless. Loads of chicken chucker's there but none caught. The guys on float had several mackerel, a few Scad and a few small Pollock. Only taking bait, were not interested in lures at all.
Don't know if you've been there before but a great spot to fish at dusk, rock walk is lit with colored lights, and there are lights on the prom which enable you to see your float.
Worth a trip if you fancy a couple of hours in a pleasant location, with the chance of a few mackies on light gear.
ANSTEY'S COVE - 01/07/06
By Nathan
Arrived at 10 ish. Flat calm and no one about it was hot. We were float fishing using macky and rag. Fished the flat rock to the left of the chair as there was alot of weed in front of the chair. Loads of sand eels about and birds but not many fish. caught 2 pollock on the float and one on a dexter wedge. Stayed until 2.30.
SHALDON - 01/07/06
By MarkM
Fished the river mouth yesterday on low tide - had 3 schoolies all undersize but great sport on light gear.
Used eddy's and found I was only getting takes immediately after a boat had past. Maybe it was because the water was so clear and the disturbance the boats caused to the clarity made them slightly less wary... Another 3 or 4 anglers there - all seemed to have a fish or 2.
SPREY POINT & NESS BEACH - 29/06/06
By Ratlover
After a successful nights fishing at Dawlish on 28-06-06 decided to have a go at Teignmouth, with a couple of mates.
Started off at the Lido about 8pm and walked up to Sprey Point chucking a Dexter Wedge along the way. Not a sniff so we decided to have a go over at Ness Beach, as we were planning to go over on Wednesday but ended up at Dawlish.
Arrived at Ness Beach about 9pm, plenty of people fishing, A couple of people were fishing the rocks to the left of the tunnel, bottom rod and float fishing, A couple were fishing right in front of the steps another couple arrived the same time we did so we decided to walk up the beach to the right hand side of the steps for about 200 yd's and have a go there. We only had our spinning rods with us so chucked some Dexter's at the sea.
Loads of weed about, so rod tip held high and reeling in quite fast, to try and reduce the amount of weed on the line. Bang nice Mackerel about the 1 lb mark, another 4 Mackerel followed. Nice evening so we decided to light a fire and cook the Mackerel right on the beach.........nice. Ended up leaving just before 10pm, as we had spoken to a lady who was metal detecting and she told us that the gate to the tunnel would be locked at 10pm.
I don't know if the gate does get locked, but we couldn't see any signs displaying the tunnel opening times.
PRINCESS PIER & SHALDON - 28/06/06
By Starrcrossbass & Rich
Fished Princess from 9:30 until about 13:00...
Water was very clear and flat calm...weathers was hazy, but strong sun, with gentle breeze, tide was receding when we arrived (I think high tide was 7:30am today. Not too many fish while we were there, SCB had a few using live bait (lots of micro pollack and sandies kicking about, doing nothing in particular, nothing seemed to be chasing them today although a couple of mullet could also be seen from time to time) while rest of us generally blanked on usual stuff.
There was a chap further up (we fished first set of steps) using coarse gear and baits & ground baiting, he has a few too, I had a couple of good bites, lost one on the retrieve, I also had a definite Garfish bite, but I'm glad he got off, I hate trying to unhook those things, they nearly always swallow the hook when I catch em...
Shaldon (Ness Beach I think, SCB will correct this) from about 14:00-16:30... weather was the same, except the sea mist had burned up by then, and by the end of the trip, the pair of us resembled lobsters too. We fished the low water period, I have never fished this venue myself before, but from what I can gather, the conditions were the same as usual... I blanked (never caught a bass yet) SSCB had a few, as did one or two others, one bloke in particular had lots in a very short time, I guess that's the benefit of local knowledge, he was using the same gear as everyone else...not much to say in that, except if you find a grand's worth of gear in the weed in rocks in the next very low tides, its probably mine very rig hungry venue
I did have bites, on surface popper (Chug bug) and on the artificial eels (both the normal white type, and on my modified specials as per tip and tricks section). I also tried out a Storm Wildeye Shad (25g pearl colour with black mackerel like stripes) I am sure I had a couple of pulls on that too, but I noticed the action of the lure in the water and have to say I was quite impressed, so I fully intend giving these a good workout at a venue I know so I can get a good idea of there potential, one thing I will say, I only attached it to a 4' fluorocarbon leader, connected to the mainline via a swivel, and it casts very easily from my spinning rod.
Just a final bit of info, on several occasions, a large fish would break the surface, it looked like a sea trout charging into sandeels from below
NESS BEACH (SHALDON) - 28/06/06

Fished ness last night with starcrossbass. One rod on the bottom (after smooth hound) and the other spinning. I had one mackie and only a few other knocks that was it nobody else had a fish. Very disappointing but that's fishing. Rough with the smooth.
DAWLISH (BLACKRIDGE) - 28/06/06
By Ratlover
Had a go fishing Blackbridge at Dawlish. A bit dubious though due to the sea mist that was rolling in.
Met 3 other mates down there, 2 of us were spinning, 2 of us on feathers, We fished the Dawlish Warren side of the bridge as there were 4 other people fishing on the Dawlish side.
Mackerel after Mackerel, most over the pound mark. We took about 12 for the pot and bait, and must have put back about 20. The people fishing the Dawlish side must have had about the same amount they were fishing on feathers and every time we looked across they were reeling in full houses.
Loads of bait fish about, shoals of Mackerel chasing them and jumping out of the sea.
An enjoyable couple of hours fishing apart from the amount of seaweed and debris passing by.
TEIGNMOUTH (CHURCH) - 27/06/06
By Bassbandit
Fished the incoming tide with bea. Brisk easterly wind coming in but bucket loads of weed. We looked at the sea and thought shall we or shan't we or go to the back beach that was the question???????? Oh s*d it lets give it a go. Bit of a tip many of you will know when fishing with weed about "keep your rod tip as high as possible and taught to keep your line clear of the weed, same applies when spinning but not ideal for working your lure but better than catching loads of weed".
After locating the hot spot mackie after mackie came in (did loose a few because of the weed), they fought like hell most over a pound. Decided to change from single hook to a pennel to enable me to cast a bit further in the hope of a bass? But managed to hook two mackerel in one go from one sandeel great fun. Decided to call it a night at about 9.15, then the coffee arrived great as we were getting a bit chilly by that time, few more casts produced more mackies and a nice schoolie. Turned out to be a nice evening. We'll be back.
DAWLISH / TEIGNMOUTH - 25/06/06
By Bassbandit
Started off at Dawlish main breakwall. Had a few mackies (nice to see them back). A young lad spotted some mullet on the wall edge where the stream runs out. He chucked his float out and the jammy git hooked it, he took about 15 min's to land i estimate about 4lb and returned it to the sea great then had a text message the gang was at the point car park teignmouth, so went over to teignmouth, they had had some mackerel and a few schoolie bass and one big slimy eel on live eels. Looks like fishing's getting better again, unless we get to much freshwater down the river after tonight's forecast of heavy rain.
SHALDON - 23/06/06
By MarkM
Fished low tide and had 4 bass - 3 were just undersize and the other was a bit over 2lbs. I lost 1 other.
The bigger one was that lovely bluish colour they get when there a bit older - beautiful it was.
3 or 4 other guys were fishing and all caught at least 1. I used white red gills and fished the main channel down deep (lost a few lures in the snags - but that's the cost of getting results I suppose!). Water was clear and cooler than last weekend also not many sandeels about. I stopped catching once the tide turned although the others were still getting a few...
