Positive about disabled people

If you find this extra work useful, are having problems or would like to comment on the disabled design of this website I would really like you to get in touch and let me know. Without feedback I don't know if the extra work has been worthwhile or indeed works on whatever programme you use to access the internet. You can email me at:
disabled@torbayfishing.com

Please help me to help others! I work for Clear Blue Media which is a local web design company and we all strive to make the net more accessible to the disabled. This page passes all the checks located on this web page.

As with most of the web sites I design this one also conforms to various recommendations with regards to disabled access but has gone one step further.

As well as being W3C and AAA Bobby approved I have also created a hidden navigation system for those using text to speech and text only browsers. Those of you viewing this site in a standard browser will not see these links.

In "text only" and "text to speech" browsers the first link you will come across will enable you to bypass all the links on the top half of the page and jump straight to the main text on each page. This will save you from having to work through the links each time you enter a new page and will allow you direct access the information you require. This is probably the single most useful feature of this site and should enable you very easy navigation.

At the bottom of each page is a hidden link that will enable you to jump back to the top of the page to allow you to navigate to the next page you require.

On the top of each page to jump straight to the main text you click/press on the following: "bypass links and jump straight to main text"

On the bottom of each page to jump back to the top of the page and the links you click/press on the following: "This is the end of the page. click here to jump back to the links"

This site also uses a flexible font size so you can modify the font size to whatever size you require. If you have a normal setting for web sites you should find the font will match your normal settings.

All images have useful information about what they are and each table has a summary to allow you to know what part of each page you are on.

I have run checks on all the pages and every page should pass W3C and AAA Bobby checks. If you spot one that doesn't please let me know.

PLEASE give me feedback if you are disabled and have visited this site. I will happily take on board any suggestions or comments!
